Specification

Casing

The standard casing surround is manufactured from 16 gauge galvanised steel, although stainless steel can be provided as an alternative. Flanges can be left plain, drilled or provided with threaded inserts to suit fixing requirements.
The tube plates have belled holes so to avoid scoring of the primary tubes during natural expansion / contraction.

Connections

Coils can be supplied with male, female, flanged or plain ends.

Fins

The fins can be aluminium, copper or copper tinned. Fins can be spaced from five to twelve fins per inch; units can also be manufactured finless.

Tubes

The primary tubes are manufactured from solid drawn copper, copper-nickel or steel tubes in a variety of wall thickness.

Headers

Headers are generally made from solid drawn refrigeration quality copper tube, each header leg has pre-collared holes. In addition, steel BSP and plate sections headers can also be provided.

Test Pressures

LPHW, MPHW and Chilled water are pressure tested to 250psi whilst DX, HPHW and Steam are tested to 350psi. All refrigerant coils are despatched sealed with a holding charge of dry nitrogen.
