Our Low Profile Air Handling Units have been specially designed in house to cater for the need that exists between fan coils units and air handling units. These compact yet powerful units can be combined with our heating and cooling coils, sound attenuators and mixing sections to provide a complete system for any environment.

Mixing box

The mixing box will be provided with a top fresh air intake connection and rear connection for re-circulated air. Air mixture will be controlled by a single skin aluminium blade damper, suitable for either motorised or manual operation.
Opposed blade dampers can be provided as an alternative when requested.

Filter and Fan section

This is a combined section housing both the filter and fans. The fans are forward curved double inlet type, which are single phase and are capable of controlling airflow by means of voltage regulation. The unit is fully insulated with flame retardant material.
Manometers are available as optional extras to detect filter efficiency.

Fans and Motors

Each unit will be fitted with one two or three direct driven double inlet fans mounted on a 16 gauge box tray section, ribbed to provide adequate stiffness and to prevent drumming or distortion.

Filters

Located in the air intake section, the fitters are of the disposable type and can be removed from either top or bottom of the unit as specified at time of order.

Heating Coil

The heating coil will be manufactured from copper tubes expanded into the collars of aluminium fins by a mechanical process that ensures maximum heat transfer under all operating conditions. The tubes are brazed into copper return bends and headers, terminating with BSP male connections. Manual air vents are provided as standard.

Cooling coil

The cooling coil will be manufactured from copper tubes expanded into the collars formed in aluminium fins by a mechanical process that ensures maximum heat transfer under all operating conditions. A drip tray will be supplied as standard.
The cooling coil can be manufactured from copper tubes and fins and electro tinned after manufacture.

Sound attenuators

The sound attenuators will comprise of tissue faced air splitters to provide low noise levels during operations. These are housed in a duct section with hanging brackets as standard.

Discharge plenum

The discharge plenum can be provided with either a rectangular spigot for connecting to ductwork or circular spigots suitable for connecting to flexible ducting.

Electric heaters

These can be supplied in a variety of outputs, stages and voltages to suit most requirements.

Bag filters

The bag type filters are an alternative and addition to the filters already in the fan/ filter section, they provide a more effective form of filtration than conventional filters and are preferable in areas where cleanliness is a criteria.
