| The Classic Coils Radiant
Strip is ideal for factories, warehouses, sports hall or any large
open area that requires unobtrusive heating. As this type of heating
is designed to be mounted at high level they offer no obstruction
in the working area, and in the case of the sports hall they have
the added advantage of not disturbing the air within a playing area.
Mounting Heights
Radiant strip should be mounted to a minimum height in accordance
with the table; the maximum height is virtually unlimited except
in dust-laden atmospheres the effectiveness will be reduced.
Minimum Mounting Heights (Mtrs)
Mean water/steam temperature.

Installation
The Radiant Strip is supplied in lengths up to 6metres with 1.5-inch
BSPM fittings or ends beveled for welding. For ease of handling
the radiant strip is delivered to site in single tube lengths. Site
assembly is therefore necessary for multi-tube arrangements. It
is recommended that support assemblies should not be fitted at more
than 3metres centres to avoid bowing or sagging.
Steam Systems
2,3 or 4 tube assemblies must be fed in parallel to avoid differential
expansion
resulting in distortion. Allow a fall of at least 50mm/30m run to
assist drainage. Traps should be installed at intervals not exceeding
30m. Steam mains should be trapped and vented prior to connection
to the radiant strip.
Hot Water Systems
Connect several runs in series to maintain recommended water flow
rates ensuring that the multi-tube panels in each run are fed in
parallel to avoid differential expansion resulting in distortion.
The strip should be installed with adequate gradient to assist air
removal.
Expansion
Adequate provision must be made to take up longitudinal expansion.
